Omraam said in "Looking into the Invisible," "A genius...is someone who has reached...the higher mental plane and receives from this region elements that enable him to make discoveries in the field of science of thought, or to become a creator in the field of art. A saint is someone who has reached the buddhic plane; he is in communion with the love of God and is capable of manifesting it to those around him. As for the great Masters, who have reached an even higher level than genius and saint, they have succeeded in melting into the divine consciousness where they recieve knowledge and the supreme powers."
This highest level of inspiration is where you can do the most good in establishing the kingdom (consciousness) of heaven on earth. Look to nature for inspiration for she can whisper in your ear the secrets of the cosmos. A genius hear and applies them to problems of human existence. A saint sees the beauty, harmony, and love of the creator in the inticate designs of nature and can work miracles of healing and conversion. A genius is one who disciplined the mind. A saint has disciplined the heart. A Master has disciplined the soul.
Many years ago, a priest whom I respected challenged everyone to "become a saint." At the time, the nuns would read us stories from "The Lives of the Saints" that were inspiring. So, I took on the priest's challenge and aspired to become a saint. I read books written by saints, such as "The Imitation of Christ," "The Practice of the Presence," and "The Interior Castle," and I tried to follow in their footsteps.
It is possible through prayer and meditation to attain the Buddhic level of consciousness. But one should not be satisfied with it, for it's not the highest Atmic level of Unity Consciousness when one has supreme knowledge and powers. These are the siddhis such as knowing something at a distance, bilocation, and levitation. Buddhas and some saints like Padre Pio have attained to this level. At this level, you cannot abuse the powers, since you first become one with God's love before you become one with God's wisdom and power. You then burn with the three-fold flame that has grown from a tiny spark in your heart to encompass your entire being. You become a sun of God. Aspire to be one.
