Tadasana for Attunement with God's Will

I had a dream last night in which I was being taught how to get into a receptive state of stillness in order to know the will of God. First, you have to have a burning question. It can't be a trivial question like "What outfit should I wear today?" It has to be an important one. Then you do the tadasana or mountain pose to receive the answer. The teacher in my dream said that when you join your palms above your head in the tadasana you connect the chakras in your hands with your eighth chakra or spiritual chakra and that creates sort of an antenna to receive intuitions from God or your Higher Self.

So, after I woke up, I did some research and found a blog and a video. The author of the blog, Gyandev McCord, says that the best affirmation to say while doing tadasana is "I stand ready to obey Thy least command." And he stated "the essence of yoga is to align our consciousness with God’s consciousness. More than just align with it — absorb ourselves in it. This takes receptivity, big time."

The video is a guided meditation on the chakras, focusing on the eighth chakra in order to connect with the wisdom of your higher self.

So, next time you have a big decision to make, do the tadasana and tune in to your divine plan.
