Return to the Garden

The Garden of Eden always was and always will be, for it’s not a physical place but a state of consciousness within you. It’s like the childly innocence and joie de vivre that you can regain (See Integrate Your Inner Child). Yes, you can once again walk and talk with God. Receiving flows is part of this. So is going with the flow of synchronicities and feeling one with the universe.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is the egoic consciousness of duality, of me against you, of us against them that divides and labels something good and something else evil. Before the Fall, there were only beautiful plants in the Garden, After the Fall, there were noxious weeds that choked beautiful and useful vegetable, fruits, and flowers. Before the Fall, there were only beautiful creatures. After the Fall, some creatures were useful and other creatures injured or killed. Before the Fall, we loved each other. After the Fall, we feared and hated each other.

It is possible for you, an individual, to return to the Garden, to the state of Unity Consciousness, even though the world remains in the fallen state of duality. But eventually, the world will return one individual at a time, one soul group at a time. Each soul embodies within a soul group that they are most influenced by and have the most influence with. In the past, this was confined to your extended family and circle of friends. Today, with the aid of technology, your soul group can extend to millions of people all over the world. So, your influence can be greater. But first, you must return to the Garden before you can be a catalyst to bring others back. Gandhi said, “Be the change you desire to see in the world.” He had returned to the Garden, and his state of unconditional love and unity consciousness united India and defeated a divisive British Empire.

But before India could unite, it had to go through the hell of religious fanaticism and genocide. Before the United States could truly unite, it had to go through the hell of the Civil War. Before we can find the heaven of unity in the center, we must go through the hell of duality between North and South, East and West. A united world can only be achieved by attaining Unity Consciousness one individual at a time, one soul group at a time. Be the Oneness you desire to see in the world. See only beautiful flowers, creatures, and your Self, and your world and, eventually, the world will soon become once again the Garden of Eden.
