Love Is the Key That Unlocks the Door to Perception

Omraam said in "Looking into the Invisible, "People say that love is blind; on the contrary, love opens our eyes... The truth is that, if people seem to exaggerate the virtues of those they love, it is because they see them as God created them in the beginning or as they will be when they reach the peak of their evolution and return to the bosom of the Lord."

Love is the key that unlocks the door to perception, which is intuition. As Saint Paul said, "For now we see through a glass darkly; but then [when we see with love] face to face. Now I know in part, but then [when I have love] shall I know even as also I am known. We will see the image of God in the face of everyone when love opens our third eye. We will no longer see the human faults and idiosyncracies of the ego that hide the divine image like so many layers of dirt and grime or a mask of makeup as we play the various roles in this drama of life.

Underneath these masks, these illusions, we are all the same pure being made in the image of God. This is how we can love one another as ourselves, even our enemies, for underneath, we are all one in the consciousness of God. So, take off the sleep mask that covers your eyes and awaken to the vision of reality of who we all are.

Once you truly see others as sons and daughters of God, made in his image, you can never go back to sleep and dream that they are the characters and caricatures that their masks portray. We now know who they truly are. It is as if we dream that we're at a masque ball and everyone takes off their masks to reveal their faces. And everyone has the same face of the dreamer of the dream. It is a face of exquisite beauty, kindness, purity, love, and self-effulgent light. Gazing upon this face is like gazing upon the sun. The sun shines down upon everyone indiscriminately and blesses everyone with the same warmth, light, and vitamin D3. It fills us with gladness and lifts up our hearts. We are all suns of God, shining his light through the darkness of the night of materialism. Although some may be blind and most will wear masks, in the end, love will open all eyes and shed all masks so that we may see face to face and know each other even as we are known.
