Integrate Your Inner Child

Q: How can we become like a child to enter the Kingdom of God if we have lost our innocence?

A: Some people meditate for an entire life without once experiencing satori or a glimpse of enlightenment. And you think you can do some childly thing like a parlor trick and, POOF, you immediately enter God consciousness? Becoming again like a playful child takes a lot of work. Playfulness is another quality besides innocence that a child has. Have you lost your playfulness too or your joy, sense of wonder, curiosity, and fearlessness?

Study children and you will see that they have certain qualities that you need to integrate in order to become whole. You need to get in touch with your inner child just as you had to commune with and integrate your inner feminine, your anima, by writing 61 love letter to her with my help over two months in 1991. This was a tremendous inner work that prepared you for marriage. Then, a couple of years later, you joined the men’s group to work on integrating your inner child so that you would be prepared for fatherhood. You had to heal that injured and neglected child who was estranged from you and change him into an ally. This is true inner alchemy, and you continued to work on your inner child alchemy in the Wisdom of Oz Playshop and book in 2012. That is another book besides The SOLution that you must revise and publish, now that your knowledge and wisdom have grown. They will benefit so many people.

You can regain your innocence, playfulness, and all other childly qualities by accepting what is as exactly as it is meant to be and not resisting it, not wanting anything else but embracing it with gratitude. When you can do that, you will be like George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life when he returned to the present. Even though the present was full of trouble, he was joyful and loving as a child because the innocent and childly Clarence, George’s Higher Self, showed him what his world would be like had he not been born.

Some people have to be driven to the point of suicide like George Bailey and Eckhart Tolle before they contact their Higher Self. But it’s not necessary. Anyone can contact their inner angel through the Three Pillars of The Way taught at awarenessnow.com. It is a prerequisite for doing any inner work with your shadow, anima or animus, or inner child. For your Higher Self is a mediator between the unconscious parts of your psyche and your conscious mind. They need to be integrated in order to attain wholeness and eventually Oneness with the Universe, entering the Kingdom of God.
