How to Flow

Within each of us is a source of wisdom that is always ready to flow. It is an eternal, ineffable, inexhaustible fount. Unfortunately, for many, it is stopped up by negative emotions of unworthiness or small-minded human thinking., or it is ignored in the busyness of life in favor of conventional wisdom, which may be easier and more comfortable to follow, but usually isn't very wise or well-suited to our particular path in life.

How do we connect with this fount of wisdom within? Do we wait until we are in a crisis and need to make a wise decision or choice. It will be too late by then. We need to make it a daily habit so that if a crisis does present itself, we can easily go into flow and do what's best. We first begin with right intention. What is the purpose of contacting this source of wisdom within? Is it for selfish reasons such as knowing what stocks to buy when so we can make a killing in the stock market? No! It can only be a selfless, altruistic purpose. Otherwise, we are practicing black magic. For instance, we can desire to know where to move to when we retire so that our lives can benefit the most people. If we follow conventional wisdom and our selfish desires, we might decide to retire in Hawaii. But if we took the time to contact our source of wisdom, which is aligned with our divine plan in life or God's will for us, we may discover that the best place is no place at all but an RV that moves from place to place so that we can bring our selves and our gifts to as many people as possible.

Once we have the right intention, we find the best time and place to flow. It should be a time and place that is quiet and peaceful where and when we will not likely be disturbed. Four o'clock in the morning is best because,  according to spiritual masters, the best time to meditate is at the Sandhya or meeting of day and night (that is at dawn and dusk) because great spiritual energy is streaming across the earth at these two times due to the interaction between the photons of light from the sun, the Earth's magnetic field, and our personal aura or electromagnetic field. The beginning of Sandhya is 4:00 a.m. and it lasts until 8:00 a.m. If 4:00 am is too difficult, then first thing in the morning as soon as you're awake is the next best time. Set your alarm to go off an hour earlier so you're not rushed. If you live where it's often sunny and your schedule allows, you can flow at sunrise. The peak time of Sandhya is from 24 minutes before sunrise to 24 minutes after sunrise. Even though Sandhya also occurs at sunset, it's not advisable to meditate and flow then, as the mind is not as still and the body has not been fasting. The rising sun itself is a source of wisdom and can help you draw forth the wisdom from within. By sungazing, you connect with that cosmic God Source, which is also your God Self.

Practicing deep breathing, mindfulness, and the affirmations of the Three Pillars taught at awarenessnow.com will bring you into a state of flow, in which you know the answer to any question. The trick is to know what question to ask. Usually, if you are present and aware during the day, a question will present itself that you can flow on during the following morning's ritual. Once you ask the question, the answer will flow effortlessly. If you are a more vocal person, it will flow in spoken words that you should record. If you are a writer like me, it will flow on paper. You should write with pen and paper, even if you can type faster than you write because there is a direct connection between the paper, the pen, your hand, and your heart that facilitates flow.
