Follow Your Cosmic GPS

Have you ever thought, "What if? What if I had decided to stay or what if I had decided to go? How might my life have turned out differently? What would I be doing? Who would I be living with? Or would I have ended up the same, arriving at the same destination by a circuitous route?"

How much of our lives is determined by a predestined fate and how much is based on free will choices? We are each born with certain characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and limitations. These largely determine the path we will take in life. Of course, we can always decide to take a different route, such as the Get Rich Quick Highway instead of What I Love to Do Lane. But our Higher Self, which knows our destination, our destiny, like an unerring GPS, will get us back on track by rerouting us. We may not do the same things or be with the same people had we followed our main path, but, eventually, we would wind up exactly where you are now.

Does this mean that if I had decided to stay at Robert DeRopp's commune in Santa Rosa in 1970 instead of returning to Connecticut, I would have ended up marrying the same wonderful woman with whom I had two amazing daughters and would still be an editor and writer? Perhaps or maybe it doesn't matter, as long as I learned the same lessons.

But I think I would be exactly where I am now because this is what I learned in 2010 when I edited and ghostwrote Tonya Swan's book "Heaven and Earth: How It All Works" (https://www.amazon.com/HEAVEN-EARTH-How-all-works-ebook/dp/B07JF61NFV). In her memories of past lives, of heaven between lives, trips to etheric retreats in childhood where she read the akashic record of her lives, and conversations with her spiritual guide, Kuthumi, Tonya learned that when we're in heaven between embodiments, we plan our next life with our soul group. These are souls with whom we play different roles lifetime after lifetime. One soul may have been your mother in a past life but is now your daughter.

Tonya got lost in her last embodiment and her life ended tragically and prematurely. But in heaven, she learned where she went wrong, and with Kuthumi, other guides, and her soul group, planned her current life. So, even if we end up in a dead end, our cosmic GPS (God's Providence System) will get us back to our destiny whether in this life or the next.
