Death and Resurrection

Christ came to show us The Way, the path of initiation, not to give us a free ticket on the Heaven Express. This belief that Christ did it all for us and all we have to do is accept him as our savior and believe in him is the fundamental error of Christianity. For this belief is just another wedge that separate Christians from nonbelievers and keeps them from entering the kingdom of heaven.

The early Christians and their forerunner, the Essenes and Therapeuts, knew that the stories and parables in the New Testament were allegories to teach the secret mysteries of the path of initiation. Each of us has a Christ Self that is in direct communion with God the Father. We don't need an intermediary in the form of a priest, minister, rabbi, guru, or messenger. Only our Christ Self can forgive our sins, in other words, let go our ego. This is done through the initiation of Death and Resurrection, an essential stage of the hero's journey.

Death and resurrection doesn't necessarily mean that we die and come back, although, for some people, this is the case, as in near death experiences. But the death means the death of the ego, it's dissolution. You let go of all your attachments to people, places, things, beliefs, opinions, wants, needs, cravings, likes, dislikes, and identifications. Death, whether physical or egoic, is not something to be feared or mourned but something to look forward to with anticipation, joy, and gratitude. Death is the door to a higher, purer realm of existence, a realm that you can enjoy here and now on Earth. Yes, you can enjoy heaven on Earth in the bliss of Unity Consciousness. You can become a saint, an unascended master. All it takes is to sacrifice your life, to live your life for God and other. When you die to your egoic self, you rise to your Christ Self and become one with your Christ Self.

Christ gave us the example to follow, and he challenged us to follow him. Don't think that it will be difficult. Christ said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." The yoke of the ego is difficult with a heavy buden. Let go and let God.
