CONTROL-ALT-DELETE to Reboot Your Mind

Yesterday, I introduced the concept of a groove or rut your mind can get into but has difficulty getting out of. Sometimes, the groove or rut can be so deep and pervasive that it causes a mental disorder or disease. Let's look at this concept more closely.
To look at this another way, someone's ego is being self-centered and ruminating obsessively about something. Ruminating about past mistakes and losses results in depression. Ruminating about future dangers and losses results in anxiety. Ruminating about present needs, wants, and lacks results in addictions to alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, food, shopping, etc. And ruminating about what other people need, want, and think about them causes division, separateness, conflict, and paranoia.
This ruminating is like the endless looping that a computer sometimes gets into when you watch a circle go round and round for minutes waiting for it to go to a new screen or open a document. Fortunately, there's an easy way to stop the interminable looping on a computer. You simply press CONTROL-ALT-DELETE to reboot it.
How do you reboot your mind if it's caught in ruminating? One way is by taking a strong dose of psylocybin or some other entheogen under the guidance of a psychotherapist. While this has shown great promise in the permanently healing (not just masking symptoms) of patients suffering from depression, anxiety, and addictions, the use of entheogens outside of a laboratory study is still illegal. So, I'm not advocating their use. However, the three pillars of The Way, taught by Awareness Now on their website www.awarenessnow.com and at their YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpEddc-IJl6113tM7hVg0_Q), can be used to gradually reboot the mind.
The first pillar of Acceptance counters the ego wanting to CONTROL everything. You stop resisting and just go with the flow. You let go of the past and future and just be in the present realizing that whatever happened, is happening, or will happen is exactly as was/is/will be meant to be. The second pillar of Wholeness ALTers the way you think of yourself. You no longer see yourself as lacking but see yourself as perfect and become content with who and what you are and have. You no longer feel the need to be or do or get anything you lack. You become self-sufficient. The third pillar DELETES the duality of the ego by realizing that you are more than this illusory body/mind/personality, that the ego is just a character in this dream or play, an avatar in a cosmic virtual reality game, and that, in reality, you are one with everyone, with nature, with the universe, with God.
When you practice the three pillars one or more times every day, you will reboot your mind and become free of the endless ruminations of the ego that can throw you for a loop.
